It doesn't work for all breeds, and you only have a window of a couple days to look, like a week to 10 days old. And I THINK, and I could be remembering backwards, that hens have the tail feathers in the age range. Cockerels get theirs later. But it's been a while.I went out and looked over the garden but haven't done anything. I got almost all the animals fed and watered. I'm ready for a nap which is not me. I have a question about the chicks. Is it true that roosters have longer tail feathers than hens? I'm curious because 4 of the chicks have fairly long tail feathers. Any advice helps. Thank you in advance.
I usually have to wait until and egg comes out, or doesn't. I've had pullets that stand up straight and crow.....so....Ya. LOL.
