What did you do in the garden today?

A pair of Orioles have been at the feeders for the last week, and today I saw my first hummingbird. I thought my grape jelly in the feeder was a little rough so I switched it with some the neighbor gave me, funny thing is that I dumped mine on the ground and the male keeps going on the ground to lick it all up. Huh, what a compliment he likes my jelly best. 😂 (Picture taken through the window, sorry about the fuzziness)

Not much gardening today, cold and rainy again and tomorrow is supposed to be a wash out. This is helping the already planted things get watered in well anyway! Yesterday I still got my chicks out in the greenhouse for an hour. Today is just too cold. Possibly just too cold for me to sit out there and monitor them! They are nearly ready to be off heat. The older ones could be but I have 4 that are 2 weeks younger and I want to keep them together and let them loose with the main flock together so the older ones need to wait a little longer.

It's been in the upper 80s all week. Hot and humid... But tomorrow and Friday we are expecting a 10 degree drop... 👏 I'm going to take advantage of the nice weather to spray fruit (peaches, grapes, apples, etc) and then FINALLY get around to bagging grapes and maybe some more peaches.

I did walk by the corn plot today. It's still under water. 🙄 If I get anything out of it, it'll be a miracle.

Looks like more blackberries have ripened too... Maybe pick those and make some fruit leather. 😋
