I was in the garage spraying some birdhouse gourds with outdoor enamel when I started hearing the lids popping on the canning jars.

One of the easier vegetables to grow IMO.My asparagus is coming up! I'd never planted asparagus before last year, and I'm such a lazy, slap dash style of gardener I was very skeptical that anything would come of it . . . but it's back! And holy moly, it's looking so much different than the spindly little things that grew from the seed last year. I'm tickled pink over this.
