What did you do in the garden today?

I have a couple of parrot cages I put plants in when I had cat....now no cat and the ONION seeds I planted were plants about 6 inches tall when the MICE dug in them last year.
When we were at the property yesterday I killed 9 mice! 7 of those were young mice but I smashed all of them under boot. DH says I get exponential kills, so apparently I killed around 100 mice. 😂

Then I had to bleach my shoes. 😔🥴

My husband told me that I was brutal because when we had mice I beat them with a really big spatula.🤣

I watered my peppers then put them on the south facing windowsill. They'll get to feel cool at night when the curtains are closed, and start getting used to natural sunlight. I plucked off around a dozen little flower buds.

And I need to make room under the grow lights for my tomatoes. Going to plant the seeds this week.

What kind of peppers are you growing? Ever since I put bell peppers in my chicken soup and made a Chinese sweet-sour onion and pepper sauce for the breast meat, I got addicted to peppers. I am trying different ones to see which ones I can grow and like.

Here's the result of nearly 13" of rain, hail, and tornadoes over a 4 day period...

Corn plot no longer has any soil and it's under water...

In-ground garden plot got completely wrecked. Underneath those boxes was about 4 inches of composting leaves and mulch. Most of that was washed into the yard.

Inside the hoop house, the weed barrier in the walkway got ripped up

And then lots of soil washed out of the raised beds inside the hoop house

My stevia bed, which was just starting to sprout, is completely gone...

Thankfully all of this is fixable with some elbow grease, new seeds, and patience.
