Whats the difference between BOSS and stripped sunflower seeds?

Are all BOSS seeds created equal? and if not, do you have a preferred brand or recommendation? I usually get the Wagner brand in the wild bird feed section. I only have 7 hens.

We buy 40# bags of them wherever they are on sale or cheaper, usually between TSC and Walmart. They are for our birdfeeders. Most chickens free range under those, so I don't feed them any, but once every few weeks, I toss some into the penned ones for a treat.

Thank you. I dont mind springing for the extra cost of shelled BOSS. i only have 7 beloved, feathered friends so its not that big a deal. save money on eggs they said….Get chickens to save money they said. HA!

Debbie, i wouldnt part with them for the world! Thats right! And i love each and every hen! greeting them in the AM remains one of my favorite parts of my life. I just feel so happy when i first see them in the AM
