What's the temperature where you are???

65° and sunny today at 2:50 P.M.

According to the forecast, it looks like California, southern Arizona, and southern Florida are the only ones escaping the extreme cold. The jet stream is expected to drop down almost to our southern border. I don't usually pay attention to things like that but is that normal? I don't think I've ever seen it that far south before.

We'll have one or two nights close to freezing but our days will stay sunny and in the sixties. Be careful out there, everyone.

Well the lowest it is supposed to get here is 5° overnight on Monday. I’ve been here 30+ years and I do remember one night where it was 4° so…. I guess it’s gonna be OK.

My mum spent 23 yrs in Yuma and she said they had freezing night temps about 15 yrs ago when they were wintering there.

I think the lowest winter temp I've seen here was 21°. That was very unusual, though.

It snows a few times most years, usually at night when it's cold enough. It melts the next day but it's still a big deal and everyone talks about it for weeks.

Once or twice we've had daytime snow and everyone lost their minds, lol. This was daytime snow in February, 2019:

It nearly always snows in the mountains in winter. They go up past 9000 ft (2700 m). There's a ski resort up there, one of the southernmost ski resorts in the U.S. Most people don't think "skiing" when you say "Tucson" but it's there.

When there's no snow the resort stays open with a restaurant and ski lift rides.

It's beautiful (I love ski lift rides) but that's how I found out my roommate is afraid of heights. 😯 She kept her eyes tightly closed all the way down!

+1C (33F), hazy overcast (the moon is hazy), and the wind has started up - most unusual for here unless a storm is moving in, the winds here generally are calm at night.

Not sure what all hullabaloo is about here with the temps it’s been as cold or colder this season.

Tomorrow supposed to be 1C and snow.
