Sunday 16th of March 10a.m. Windy and overcast 31.5 / 42.6kph WNW - hot air. Hg 42%, 32.3C / 90.1F top of 33C / 91F. Will be much warmer if the cloud clears. Marine wind warning. Hazardous surf.

Last eve on Lake Illawarra. I hate that the new warf has no railings, preventing ppl from simply gazing into the water at their leisure.

What's the gray one in the upper left corner? Is it a lavender orp?
That looks like Little Grey, she is a daughter of Mr P (the bald Polish Roo there in the photo- he is moulting poor guy), and her mum is most likely my splash barnyard mutt Buttercup who lays blue eggs. So does Little Grey.

I do have a Lavender Orp - Laverne. Poor girl partially amputated her toe so I had to complete the amputation. That was a few weeks back. I still have it dressed to let it heal.

Is it dead? I take it the creature washed up on shore.
 
Yes, afraid so. They don't live very long but it's nice to see one with all its legs still attached. There are some really large jellies out in the deeper lake depths. eek lol
Are they a stinging variety? I have heard of fresh water jellies but wondered how toxic they are.
