What's the temperature where you are???

I grew up at the beach and swimming in the ocean is one of the favorite things but some sea creatures ick me out and I do not like jellyfish. When I was a toddler a little tiny piece of a tentacle attached itself to my leg and it hurt like heck. 😠
I didn't know even dead jellyfish can still sting. A few years ago when visiting my folks in Florida, they took me to the ocean. I was walking along the beach and saw what I assumed must've been a dead jellyfish lying up on shore and put my foot on it to roll it over, and OMG did that burn! They came running to see and affirmed it was a dead jellyfish.

5.19p.m. a really hot day was enjoyed by all here today .. well, mostly me ;) I had the AC on twice for about 20mins. I'm between the airport and Port beach, which I bet was packed today. Still very cloudy. The hottest temp in the state is Tibooburra at 100.8F. The coldest is Thredbo (winter snow country) at 51.1F.

Vinegar is recommended by the life saving mob here for Blue-bottle stings. I remeber being stung as a kid .. ouch for many hours. If the blue stinger get's wrapped around limbs it will leave multiple stings.

Yes, they can still inflict harm when they wash upon the beach. I've been 'stung' by a Man of War and other jellyfishes like cabbage jellyfish....not pleasant at all, I'm just glad we don't have box jellyfish on the Texas coast.
