I'm waiting for that day when that 'girl' turns out to be a boy.
Feather sexing will not work here.

Simplified answer: Fast feathering rooster over a slow feathering hen. Produces rapid feathering females, & slow feathering males.

Buff Orpington males are slow feathering, & females are fast feathering even though they're not mixed breeds.
Barred Rock males are fast feathering, while females are slow feathering. Bared Rocks are a sex link hybrid which can be sexed both by color, & feather growth rate.
I'm using those traits to my advantage.
I do make mistakes sometimes, but I'm correct most of the time.

Let's just get off the feather subject, & wait for the chicks to hit 6 weeks old, so that way we know for sure what their gender is?
