white face spanish chickens

I am interested in white face spanish chickens. But I am wonder why theres not so many of them out there ! Are they difficult to breed? Do they look scarey ? How big do the get and are they friendly ! Thanks for the input !

They are good egg layers, but I think people either went for leghorns or brown egg layers. It's such a shame that so many of our old breeds are dying out... I hope you find some nice stock!

ETA: To answer your questions, I don't think breeding them would be any more difficult than another breed. They (like all Mediterraneans) tend to be noisy and not the friendliest birds, but they can calm down nicely. They are big for light breeds, 8 lb for a roo and 6.5 for a hen. I think they are beautiful!
