Ended Winter Contest Series

This is what happens when Silkies don't have the good sense to stay out of our So Calif downpours even though there are plenty of patio roofs, shelters, etc. We are at the point that we have to keep them in our kitchen on rainy days so they don't get soaked and cold!

LOVE IT! Silkies are very sweet ... but I must say mine would never have qualified as "The Brightest Crayon in the Box," either!

Same! In California we don’t get any snow, just bucket loads of rain, which makes the chickens wet and miserable 😂
I'm not sure how bad that really is, as long as your temperatures are fairly steady! Yesterday, it was almost 60°F for us, then 30°F this morning. The swings are difficult for humans; I think it's worse for animals.
