I did a search of it, and found some good info. Has anybody had good success with garlic for worming your chickens? I noticed about a few days ago my hen was acting a bit droopy. But we've had some lame weather lately, so I though she might just be upset because she hasn't been getting her dust bathing and tanning sessions in. But today I saw something weird in her poo. Didn't take a picture of it though
But it looked like some kind of weird elongated magget
And she hasn't in a few days, I got maybe one egg in seven days, and she hasn't been eating much.
I was looking up natural cures, and found garlic and acv.
I gave a chopped up clove of garlic in a spoonful of plain yogurt, she ate the garlic and left the yogurt
She usually loves yogurt..
Hubs and I are going off island in two days to go see his grandma who is dying of cancer, and I have watching her for me. So I wanted something that would be easy for my friend to do for Pea while we're out of town. And re-evaluate when we get back into town. Everything seems to be happening all at once, we're worried about grandma, but also worried about Chickpea and don't want to worry my friend with all this stuff to do. I'm supposed to be starting school in a couple weeks, but I guess that will have to wait now too, don't mind though. As long as everyone is doing okay, and we get to see grandma while she's still herself and make sure DH is ready to head out on deployment in a month.
Anyways. Back to the chickens. Anyone used garlic? I was going to take a a bulb or two, and she can have one chopped up clove of garlic and a couple drops of acv a day? For one week until we get back.
