Worst chicken breed

That’s funny because that’s exactly what happened with ours. The little girl just started crowing one day 😂 poor Caroline never got a boy name, he was just Caroline the rooster until he died, which was probably because of a heart attack, he was very anxious. He was also pretty ugly, as you can see in the picture, his feathers were like that when we got him ( I don’t think the owner cared too much about him)
Here’s the pic sorry 😂

That’s cute. I love it when roosters have girl names🤣 it’s always obvious why. At least the name for mine was gender neutral (Cotton) I think Caroline is cute😆 he’s a pic of mine

Polishes.
Not bright at all, flighty, and I've met several hens who'd scream the place down if you so as touched them. And almost every single rooster my family member has ever own has been an absolute NIGHTMARE. And I've had my fair share of aggressive roos, including large sussex boys, those polish take the prize for the worst.
Their crests are excessively large and caused one hen I raised to go blind. And then there's the vaulted skull. Pointless and poses a massive risk to their health.

My polish was a sweetie

I got 2 welsummers that follow me around like puppy dogs but they're vicious to my older chickens. One runs across my Dominique's backs and throws them out if their nest boxes so she can lay in them.I understand the pecking order is real but they take it to the extreme.
One of them barely has any feathers on top of her head because she gets into so many altercations. She always manages to get her way.

I've read the hens rarely go broody and if they hatch any they usually kill them.

If I liked hatching my own chicks and had a good incubator Silkies would be one of my favorites. They're so adorable!
If you do, rather get Cochin Bantams. We have both, the Cochin Bantam beats the Silkies in everything, feathers down. The lay better, are better moms, goes broody a lot more, are way smarter and thus the chicks they raise tends to be smarter as well(or at least acts smarter).

But after all this I still prefer a silkie over the Wyandottes I have had. Mean birds, eats a ton of food and gives you very little for it.
