There is a gal in the next town over that bought orp chicks from me a couple years ago. She breeds White Marans, and from some of the pics she sent me Poppy is exceptional!

Confirmed that it was her 1st egg on the 30th.
Noticable improvement tho, a tad darker, bigger in size already, but not as long.

I'm blushing over here! I also had some help from getting my original group from Mr Reeves. Unfortunately he has retired and divested his stock, but I'm glad that is the backbone of the birchens. The blue genes came from a batch of blue birchen chicks my husband bought me from Greenfire. Not quite as nice overall as Mr Reeves, but I was able to compensate, and they provided some proper diversity.
