You really should! You'd probably be surprised. When I had my English Orpington Roo I knew he was huge, but never weighed him, when I did he was 13+lbs, I never thought he'd be that heavy.

What's better... A broody or a fairy egg?

November 16, 2022 Betty gave me my 1st fairy egg and I still have it.

Today I got this one.. not sure which of the 3 Purple bands layed it yet, but cue the photos.

W/R is one of Ravens pullets and Rebel lays my lightest, consistently calcium topped. I haven't test mated her so I don't sell her eggs. I've got W/R eggs under a broody.

Really that wasn't all...
Broody BA with the OEs eggs are technically in lock down also. I'll be shocked if any hatch as she's off them a lot. Saving grace here is, it's the favorite nest box so others are sitting on them thru out the day and she sits on them at night. I tried separating her but she freaks out so we shall see.

And put 6 Raven eggs under Copper. If Raven lays the next 2 days that will up them to 8.
I only have 3 pullets from her, 2 lay real nice color (w/r is above with fairy egg and w/w is broody). The 3rd (w/blue) lays a lighter egg and has dark eyes so she may get sold here soon.
