I have waited Years to be in a position to raise Chickens in my Backyard! Finally this has become REAL!! I've Read several Books, I really like "Chickens in your Backyard" by Rick & Gail Luttman. I've also watched a Gazillion YouTube Videos of Chicken Farmsers all over our Country (USA) and the World....so many Ideas. I take Advice from anyone who wishes to offer such...Thank You.
I am Retired & have lotsa Time to offer to my New Flock of 8 Chickens....my GalBuddy is also helping as well. She is an ol' Farmer Gal from way back! We will work together.
Getting our Chickies as Chickies to start....Rhode Island Reds & Orpingtons & Sussex....or what our local Supplier may have....we are open.
Very Excited to have this Wonderful Resource available to answer our Questions as they arise.

The first thing you need to know about BYC is that, no matter the predicament, or even the time of day (or night,) there's always someone here ready to lend a hand, an ear or a shoulder. The second is that we LOVE PICTURES ... so please share pics of your new babies when they come home! !
