    snake bite help!

Thank you egh, I didn't think about the neosporin. I looked at the snake list and can't find it. I know for a fact we have cottonmouths here, but this was definitely not a cottonmouth. It has stripes and is about 18 to 20 inches long, and would overfill two hands. The silkie is shaking right...

    snake bite help!

Just found a snake wrapped around my very young silkie. Took care of the snake and the Silkie is alive and upright-a bit shaken but not too noticeably suffering or traumatized. After an exam I found it is bleeding a small bit on its thigh. I am going to clean it with alcohol. What else can I do...

    My husband HATES chickens

My oldest "tweenaged" son thought it was goofy to get chickens...at first . Now if I want to track him down all I have to do is go to the coop area and he is hangin' round talking silly talk to the birds. I'm gonna have to catch him by surprise someday and film him secretly-so I can play it to...

    Protecting the ducks

Small hole-possible weasel? I think the advice about the baby monitor is very good. I use one myself, and it would have prevented a daytime dog attack if I had used it earlier (I couldn't hear my babies being killed from inside the house). Also, Wal Mart has some very simple and affordable...

    HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats! First off make sure you get some chick starter feed-purina makes a good one. Yes, they will need food and water within the first 24 to 48 hours. Try and get them closer to ground level and momma hen will show them how to scratch and stuff-it's too cute when they do this and they are so...
