Welcome to Fluffy Butts Farms!
A little bit about me & my Chix:
I began with the love and expectation of only raising Seramas. I had been researching small chickens and found that they were the SMALLEST Chicken and the #1 pet in Malaysia. They are very bright birds and there are thousands...

yup...not a black copper marans
That's what I thought and it really saddens me that this person is going to use him for breeding. When I put my mind to doing something I do it to the best of my ability. True Marans breeders, meaning those that are working hard to perfect the standard...

I know-it kills me to do it since it took me a year to get that frizzle but I have a frizzle girl too and will use her for that if needed:-( I got the girls when I had other polish boys-then my puppy got a hold of my favorite and it died. SO I held onto the WC polish-they are too small...

gvntofly05-that is a blue...just a darker shade. And, even though the legs look clean, now, you still may get some feathering on the legs as it matures. I had one like that. It was weird...no feathers for the first 6 weeks or so, then they started popping up sparsely. It never did...
Just wanna let everyone know that both girls survived this horrible stuff and are doing better than ever! I started back on the meds the next morning, and by the VERY NEXT DAY, the crud had completely (and I mean completely) disappeared. I had a Wheaten Marans come down with it the next week...
This is awesome...the day of Thanksgiving and I can STILL come to BYC and find an answer to just about anything!!
You just made a flock of chickens very, very happy!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Hi guys...didn't know all these posts were here!! I guess sometimes the "subscribe" works and sometimes it doesn't.
Looks like I somehow deleted my pics too...
The good news is that both girls are still alive. I kept them in at nights up until 3 days ago. I gave them EACH 125 mg of...

See...this is my only concern that it ISN'T pox. doesn't WET start out DRY? Neither birds have had ANY pox (I had 4 seramas w/ dry pox last year, too) that I could detect, anywhere. Except that one big one on the side of Cleo's mouth. Which didn't start out "wartie" looking like a...

I tried to pull Cleo's off earlier and it will NOT BUDGE. It's almost like it's grown INTO her mouth along with growing ON it...does that make sense? Same w/ the big bump on the side of her beak. It is IN her face...not just on it. There is no way to get it off w/ out cutting it...

OK...the pills are HORSE pills. This is the first time I've opened the bottle. I got about 175mg in each of them. In the process of giving Blondie's, her fungus was 1/2 hanging there, so I tugged at it a little w/ my fingernail and it POPPED off...I went to grab it out of her mouth...

Thanks chickenlady...I can see passed the lump and it appears to be surprisingly clear. I have not noticed her drinking more. Just noticed her TRYING to drink and she can't ... except for the few drops she gets from the rabbit waterer. I didn't not notice a higher intake of water...
EDIT-THE FIRST 2 PICS ARE MY BUFF "BLONDIE" and the REST ARE MY MILLE FLEUR "Cleo".
I have a mille fleur (Cleo) that is nearly a year old and literally within 2 days, went from having a dried lump on the side of her beak, to having a hard yellow, fungus-like substance in her mouth. She cannot...
OOPS! Sorry...I quoted the wrong post! Meant to quote and respond to chickabiddies
And, yes...for the record...the pox may completely stop laying for a while. It did in my Seramas.
