What kind of ducks are these?

They make me think of runner, blue Swedish, and mallard or ruen crosses.

How about a Thread for Embdens?

I'm thinking of doing that or looking for some eggs and letting them try hatching.

How about a Thread for Embdens?

Update on my pair. Egg laying is in full swing with 1-2 eggs a day now. My gander turned out to be a goose, and what did I do? I get her another goose. Oh well at least they were freebies.

How about a Thread for Embdens?

I was given moose when he was 2 months old so I raised him with some ducklings . He's always really calm and quiet. Goose was also given to me by moose's original owner. She ignores the chickens and picked on the ducks whenever food was involved, but since then has also calmed down and is always...

    Langshan Thread!!!

In langshans blue x blue will be 50% blue, 25% black, 25% splash. But in my experience splash has been more like 10% or less.

    Langshan Thread!!!

All langshans in the US are croad langshans. The birds laying plum eggs are far and few, and most breeders don't breed for egg color.

it's a girl judging from beak color. If it starts to turn greenish it's male.

    Serv´s up.........what´s this, then?

Just saw your reply. If moose is a gander he's definitely different. Thinks he's a duck, scared of everything including himself, and bottom of the pecking order. He runs around with my Welsh harlequins and layer flock.

    Serv´s up.........what´s this, then?

Threads been quiet for awhile so here's a new one. It's an April hatch embden x toulouse cross. I've always assumed it's a gander, but what do you think?

    Welsh Harlequin

It's normal for this time of year. She'll probably lose quite a bit more then grow it back in soon.

    Buff rock with black tailfeathers?

if it's not colored like these it's not a buff rock. I still think it's a mix or new hampshire.

    Buff rock with black tailfeathers?

Black should not be on a buff rock. I think what you have is actually a new hampshire. Are it's feathers red, or a dark yellow?

    Welsh Harlequin

Try browsing for snowy calls. They're pure calls but with the welsh color. Edited never mind me I just figured out snowy is silver appleyard coloring.
