Hello all! I haven't been active for awhile sorry about that been uber busy . But as some of you know I have 3 adult pekins - Charlotte - webber & cookie - I added 2 ducklings about 2.5 months ago on Pekin - lucky and a khaki Campbell - Louie . Also added 8 new layer chicks to my 12 barred...

Lol I only take them out on short trips and it's getting harder to catch them up again to go back inside so they may just wait till it's nice/ warmer out next week and they are mostly feathered ( they are almost 4 weeks now. Bellies are feathered ) and I'll set up a outside pen they can stay...

Charlotte webber cookie annnnd of course the geese ( lady & Lucy !) have more flock members!! I couldn't help it - my husband wants to kill me I'm sure esp since I also have 9 new chicks haha but these new babes are rescues! Love them!!

i gave it to my father in law to eat . i have 2 female geese so theres no goslings in my future :)

Had to share this with you guys since most of you Have watch my girls grow up! Lady or Lucy not sure which - laid the first Goose egg today in like the coldest weather everrrrr here in ohio hahaha Mama is super excited !! My pekins are still Layin every day but one egg froze today !!! Yikes!

I opened the new @Meyer Hatchery catalog and what did I find??? My girls!!! Ahhhhh! My gorgeous girls!! Well 2 of my 3 - Cookie & Charlotte ! They misspelled my first name but everyone does . Omg!! What an awesome honor!!

have you ever heard the saying "poopin like a goose ?" noooo ? neither did i till i got my 2 ladies .... and thought (stupidly) i can brood them in my house ... they are very cute goslings and they imprint stronger than ducks - both my ducks and my geese imprinted to me - but there was poop...

i keep their nest pretty clean with fresh fluffy hay so the eggs stay clean for the most part but they do share the nest with 2 geese lol and as we know goose poop is nasty so the occasional egg that gets shot w goose poo i just bring it in and scrub it off w a brush i have specifically for eggs...

haha nope! everyday until it got filled up w these! now i need another! i have 12 BR laying thats a def need for a basket!

eggs eggs and more eggs!!! they are so big they dont fit into containers anymore so they just sit in a basket hahaha my geese have yet to bless me with their first egg but cant wait to see how big that is!
