I was just window shopping on the McMurray site and it looks like they're going to be offering chocolate orps next year so that might be an option if the birds you have now don't turn out how you want Moony
Going to be picking up some silkie eggs either this weekend or next, mainly because I want a few hens that will go broody come spring but also because my mom has gotten into the chickens and wanted a few of "her own". The little piggies are doing well, growing like weeds.
Looking at the Hoovers website under "Identify My Chick" those do look like the example given for their Chocolate Orps. Then again you got sent "ducklings" so who knows.

They're closely related to d'Anvers, they aren't super common in the US and are only ABA not APA (so far). I'm not sure whose picture this is, it's from the US club website.
