Some of my silkies that have hatched..one was in a cup with booties..out now walking great. :)

Had 7 white silkie babies go into lock down, I have 6 babies.. :) One was DIS. Now, I have a pip in my splash, due date tomorrow. Well, it's more than a pip, it's a hole. Made a hole right away, not sure I like them doing it that way. I worry over it until it starts to zip. :/

Maybe by tonight? Did you candle the one that you put into the bator?

I have silkies hatching. Will try and get some sleep. Need to check on them around 2 in the morning..it's almost 12:30 now. Two are out and doing well. 4 more to go.

This does look like a dark blue, with the yellow. It has a pea comb..so assuming an Easter Egger. Should be fun for you to watch this one's coloring come out. They change so much. Looks like it could be a splash.

A blue chick..with yellow? Could be a splash! Here are some of some silkies I hatched. See the dark blue..third one over? No yellow. Then, the next to last is a light blue, with yellow..a splash..then the last is just a light blue.

Both sets of silky eggs are in lock down. Crossing fingers. Whites being locked down last night, splash were locked down tonight.

Well, have my silkie eggs going into lock down this Sunday. Crossing fingers they hatch well. I'm due for a good silkie hatch.

Wow, back, and can't catch up! Had a Navy Grandson get married last night. Will share a photo..because it's a classic pose of the sailor kissing .. this is his new wife.

I remember how nervous I was with my first brood too. Waiting for the good news! And photos.

No worries, as long as there isn't another chick picking at it. Hopefully it will fluff up and hide the little bit left. It will either absorb the rest of the way, or, if it isn't a lot, will dry up and eventually fall off.

There they are! 9! Wow, wonder if that's normal for a first litter in this breed. They are always so pretty. Love this breed. The chocolate color being a favorite.
