Congrats to the winners and yah!!!for all the cute chick pictures. My final count is 1 out of the 3. the other two were dead in shell after trying to zip wrong end. My chick is so lonely it keeps chirping nonstop and the feed stores close to me have no chicks till the 6th, craigslist has none...

I still only have 1 chick out of the 3 eggs. The one that started to hatch quit and i just checked no movement, when I picked the egg it was coming out back first. the other egg nothing yet, i'm tempted to candle.

Congrats to all the hatches going on and cute pics,, no time to read and see all those fuzzy cute butts, maybe later. 1 chick has hatched, one egg has external pip and the other is rocking, I wasn't expecting them to hatch after tossing 5 quitters. Hopefully they will be both out by evening.

Only 3 out of the 8 fertile eggs made it to lock down. such a disappointment after a good test hatch, my incubator did spike to 102 several times during this incubation. Hoping all the 3 hatch then I'll get them 3 more from feed store to make an even number . It's chicken math and hubby doesn't...

Tomorrow is lockdown for me, hoping the humidity will be stable I work Thursday and will be out of town Friday back Saturday!!

Day 15 candle and the clears from earlier were still clear so I tossed them 32 eggs felt like so many to toss. My first time incubating a huge batch and it goes like this. Of the 8 that were developing a few I think 4 look like they are quitters but I'm not sure. Will look at some pictures here...

All my 31 eggs from a local farmer are not fertile they are clear but will give them a few more days before tossing she had told me she wasn't sure if they were fertile this time (I got eggs from her last year). out of my 9 only 1 is clear so if all goes well I can lock down 8 later on.

I forgot to turn on the turner and just turned it on today a day late I hope it won't affect much. I have a still air incubator I was checking on it yet did not realize ilthe turner was off till a few hours ago.

I just set 40 eggs total. My own mixes 9 and a local farmers 31 mixes of delawares and welsumers.

I separated it for a while and only one blob so I picked it up and took out all this poop from inside vent and there's still more in there. I guess the liquid creamy poop was coming through the sides of this hard poop and making its behind all wet and ugly. Hoping by morning it feels better...

I'll take a pic when I get home or in the morning. When I was cleaning with warm water I noticed some hard one in the vent and loose ones coming out around it. I sure hope it gets better. It's one of the two I bought at he feed store.

Question, this chicks back side seems swollen had not notice it till I picked it up. I thought it was pasty butt but the vent is not plugged. It's running and eating well but this is how the vent looks what could it be and how can I help
