    Surviving Minnesota!

I think all turkey toms are pretty cool looking. The royal palms hens or penciled varieties are my favorite hens.

Holm, remind me....what hens do you have for Mr. T? What breed is he?

Let me know if you end up selling any. I know they're little, but I already enjoy having them.

Agreed. Mine are from great stock, good tempered, and excellent layers. I was happy to see them go to a young girl who was very excited to have them. Sometimes I feel people who throw a fit about cost aren't necessarily that interested. They just have nothing better to do.

I sold some Khaki Campbell ducklings recently. Purebred $4/each, all 7 for $24. That's a steal if you know anything about ducks. People wanted them cheaper yet. I told one lady to try and find them at a feed store and if she does, enjoy paying $8 per duckling straight run. I said it much nicer...

I didn't know you had some little ones available  I would have much rather purchased from you. My intentions were to just leave with the Narragansett because that is what I went there for. Oh, and layer pellets. Shame on me. $18. I know, I know. I told you.

Holm, you got a Turkey baby! I did pick up two little poults for a ridiculous amount of money. I couldn't help myself. A Royal Palm and Narragansett. The Narra is incredibly friendly and always wants to be by us. My guess is it might be a little Tom. The Palm is a bit more human sketchy. It...

She's cool looking! I just wish I knew what she was. Must be a Gold Laced Polish mix. I don't know where else that little fro would come from.

I thought Orps were good layers! I have a young Buff Orp. Perhaps her and I need to have a talk. We have a huge patch of Ostrich Ferns down by the pond. I see them pop up on lower ground as well. I wonder if that's typical? I just know the chickens don't like them.

What am I? Eggs came from someone who has many breeds, including polish chickens, but I'm not sure if they eggs were a barnyard mix or not. Most were. Polish was my best guess.

My credit card info was taken twice from Amazon and used for purchases. They started with small purchases that escalated to larger purchases. I'm glad I looked over my bill at that time. I honestly don't think Amazon would have caught it. Credit Card fraud seems like way too much work. I'd...

My Khaki Campbell ducklings are starting to hatch! Ralphie, let me know how many you want! They really are incredible layers. The females are a bit boring in color, but the eggs are awesome.

    Surviving Minnesota!

I need to become self employed. I love my career, but healthcare is taking a different direction than why I went into it. I have a ton of old barn board I've collected over the years. I'd love to do something with that. I have a friend who started something similar, but she spends all of her...

Chucks! That's a million dollar idea! Speaking of.....I should really worm my flock. Welcome! I get it on one of my eggs, too. I almost wondered if it was one of my hens hitting the oyster shells too hard.

I read that this condition is common in Black Copper Marans. The conjoining toes. I'd like to think this guy doesn't know it's popping up in his offspring. But, any good breeder would know I suppose. Most hatch their own offspring as well. I'm almost considering not keeping the others. Four...

Holm, I'll take that little calf. It can live in the spare bedroom. @duluthralphie, I was under the impression drug dealers were mathematicians. Admirable career.
