I got 3 buff brahmas.
there are 2 of them. I originally had them lumped in the cochin category.
A SLW
And chubby tubbs our largest chick. we're guessing easter egger
or this one? Light colored legs on this one. This is exceptionally hard to figure out. I feel like a lot of these chicks are going to be wait and sees.
May be a Sumatra but those chicks are super small. I got a lot of chipmunk stripes ones that I thought were bantam because they are about half the size of all the others. But I could be wrong about him being a bantam. But I think he is.
I got my box today and I'm just so excited!!!
I got 52 surprise chickens, 5 silkies, 5 white rocks and 2 royal palm turkeys. So my brooder is sporting 64 cutie mccute peepers
Please someone help me. I got my surprise today and got 10 of this one chick and I can not figure out what it is.
they are super fluffy like they may have beards but do not have green legs, and all 10 are exactly the same so not ees. They do not appear to be bantams...and again they are...
Its an unbelievable deal. For the resale value as well as the sheer variety and excitement of not knowing. Around here there's no problem selling chick's. Definitely getting this next year, or this year if I can swing it before time runs out.
Yeah I make a 50 lb bag of layer pellets last about a month due to the fact that I only feed them bagged feed maybe 3 days a week. The rest of the time they are on their own. Lol
I was able to buy 17 chicks this season and make one order of turkeys and anything else I have to hatch myself. I want the hatchery surprise so badly though. It is a lot of feed for a lot of birds but around here I only have to make it until they are feathered and then they pretty well feed...
I was going to get this this year, but ended up picking the specific breeds I wanted to make sure I got them...my problem was that I was trying to order a few of the breeds I super wanted and also get the surprise..and that would have been a few too many chicks for me...I would have ended up...
Ok. That was my plan as well. I want a couple turkeys and ducks, and it seems like waiting til april is going to be the best bet to get those in the order.
