Hello 👋🏼
I have 6 chicks hatched May 28/29 - now 7 weeks old in these pictures. I’m still unsure of the sex on a few of them. Would appreciate your input! These are a mix of Easter/Olive eggers and black copper marans.
These are the two I’m suspecting are cockerels. The black one for sure, the grey one I’m wondering because of the tail feathers starting to curl over.

These ones I think are all pullets? But honestly, I’m a new chicken lady and while I’m the type to do hours and hours of research, I’m finding sexing to be a lot more mysterious than I thought it would be. 😅

I can’t find the photo of the 6th for now but I’ll update later. Don’t be alarmed at the pen they are in. This is just an extra area we use to give them free range time when we can watch them. 😊

They both look like pullets.

The very first bird is a cockerel.

@rosemarythyme @HappyClucker7 @MysteryChicken @Emelyn Thank you all for the input!! I agree, the first one definitely looks like a cockerel to me too.
I've attached a few more pictures from yesterday. They're now 8 weeks old. The last two pictures are of the suspected cockerel. The rest I'm hoping are pullets, but would love to hear about my feather footed friend (3rd last picture). I keep thinking pullet but the copper neck feathers throw me off. And it keeps fluffing them up when it feels threatened... and I've noticed the cockerel picks on this one the most.
