Oh yeah. I almost forgot about the 4 golden comets I impulsively bought at TSC the other day...

Its awesome to see the feathers coming in and trying to use the difficult chicken calculator to figure out which are roos and which are pullets. At 3 days old just by checking their wing feathers I counted only 6 roos out of 16 that hatched. I guess I will have to be patient to know for sure..

I recently hatched a split batch with a 43% hatch rate after a power outage and other issues. The first 6 come from my BLRW Roo over my BLRW hens and Blue Splash hens. The last 3 came from some eggs I acquired. BLRW Roo ove a Speckled Sussex and a Sapphire gem.
