No Broken eggs! and nothing else foreign that he could have gotten into. The Poo may be what's going on!

They look very nice in that field of flowers! Their faces are starting to get red too.

Can you breed 2 BA roosters together with hens in a pen (grown up together as chicks) or will they kill each other and pull the 1 rooster show. BA roosters aggressive?
Yes you can if they grew up together and I have done it. One will be the Alpha and the other the BETA. The Alpha will do most of the breeding and the Beta will sneak in once in a while. The problem with this is you do not know for sure who is the father. If you are a serious breeder and not a propagator just making babies you can't duplicate the babies if you had a show winning pullet or cockerel. I have never been able to mix cocks that did not grow up together they just fight all the time especially if room is limited and they are not constantly free ranging.I hope this helps.

Here are some pics of one of my two Australorps. Love. First waiting in line, then finding her sweet spot!

I can't tell from your pics whether there is a red flash on their hackles or red or gold feathers on their necks. If the neck feathers are not black then they are black sex links and not Black Australorps. Their combs should also be erect with 5 points.

Quote: Thanks Ron. They are now 12 weeks old. My hatchery birds are very nice but compared to all you folks with SQ birds they certainly are a bit scrawny looking. lol But don't get me wrong. I do love 'em anyway. So sweet natured. Alas, I will continue to drool over all your drop dead gorgeous birds if you don't mind. lol

I am keeping my fingers crossed that both of mine are great egg layers.

I am wondering if Peppa will begin laying first as her face began turning reddish weeks before Bella's. Plus she began developing waddles weeks ago too. Does that make any difference?
All my best to everyone. ~Dee~

I have a question & I hope it does not offend anyone. I have several Roosters and was wondering at what age/weight do most of you start sending them to freezer camp.

Do you feed them off any special way? Used to help process chickens at home as a kid but that has been a Looooonnnng time ago!
