Definitely! For some reason I didn’t even think of leg color when I got the chick and have just called it a Barred Rock for the past four weeks, haha! JedJackson thinks it’s an Olive Egger or maybe a Cuckoo Marans - do you have any thoughts on breed?

It's only a guess but I'd place wages on an Olive Egger Cockerel.
Pretty bird no matter what breed.

Thanks! What makes you say Olive Egger over Cuckoo Marans? I’m just interested to know what the little differences are so I can keep an eye out

Basically the color, I think a CM would be much lighter in color and pattern, but if it's a mix it could be pretty much anything too.

I second (or third, or fourth, or something) Olive Egger cockerel. Male Cuckoo Marans have a lighter barred color and Cuckoo Marans overall have pinkish white legs that are feathered.
