BlueTheBrahma’s thread!

I haven't heard anything related to Ebay here in the States but I don't actively peruse it.
We seem to have the same FB policy here. It's listing them as 'up for discussion' Pm for details.
Most of my sales so far has been thru Craigslist if that's an option there. Everything poultry sales is listed in 'Farm and Garden' section.
Craigslist is an option but isn’t commonly used over here (I also don’t know if their policy is different here). But it might be worth a look because it’s better than nothing.

Yes it’s the same here, Facebook posts say ‘pm for details’ or ‘looking for a new 🏡

I have considered orpies for three reasons: like you said, the pantaloons, but also the chunkiness and the full, rising saddle/cushion.

I don’t have Orpingtons myself but am always looking out for some hens which need a new home.

I’ll let you know if I find some myself, I guess I have the benefit of being in England for proper English standard Orpingtons.
I didn't even think about the cushion/saddle! The way they are built reminds me of how women dressed back in the day, with bustles and all that garb, lol

View attachment 4103813Maybe the most colourful egg box I’ve had yet! The properly olive green egg was laid today for the first time since I posted that first one. It was odd for a young pullet to pause like that after the first egg, but glad to have them again. Bigger this time, too.

Three of the four olive eggers keep jumping over to lay their eggs in the dog kennel in the cockerel pen. Safe to say Napoleon was pleased when this started.

The olive egger in hatching is from one of these, so maybe I may even get one of Napoleon’s offsring.
I love the speckled eggs!

Craigslist is huge here. There's actually a sister site called SearchTempest where you plug in what your looking for and it gives you every CL ad within whatever mileage you want it to search.

Ironically the Jubilee Orpington was bred as a gift to Queen Victoria’s diamond jubilee, and if you’ve seen pictures of her when she was older I think you are spot on with your comment.

I read that somewhere, can't recall where. Anyhow, someone came up with a beautiful bird for the queen!
