A lot of breeds in England only made it here as gifts throughout the Empire to Queen Victoria. Brahmas for example were brought from America after they had standardised them from Himalayan chooks.

Yes, although I’m beginning to think I remembered wrong and it will be Monday and Tuesday. Soon either way, I’ve had hatching envy from @wrathsfarm so I can’t wait.
I stay in touch with a couple of the folks who got some, I'll post pics as they grow, as chicks they look exactly like orp chicks with lightly feathered legs.

I was either going to put Napoleon in until I sell Loki, or move Napoleon in and put Loki in with the Brahmas. I think Napoleon would be better as Loki might pick a fight with Blue (and loose or get mounted). Napoleon is young and still growing, so will intergrate slightly better. He also doesn’t have big, sharp spurs.
I don't normally get broodys until May and I'm 6 deep already with a couple more clucking about it.
