Chick Hatched with Yolk and blood

We've just started hatching our first chicks, today is the 21 day and only one of the eggs has hatched(the eggs were not from a great place and most weren't fertilized or didn't grow past the first week). The only chick to hatch so far took a little while to come out, somewhere around twelve hours. We left it alone last night as it hatched and went to bed, this morning when we went to check on the chick the incubator was covered in blood, all over the other eggs and drops all over the floor. The chick looks as though it hadn't fully absorbed it yolk sack. we took them out and put them in a brooder wrapped in a wet towel, they struggled in it and kept trying to get out, we gave in and are letting them walk around the brooder. But they are still bleeding and yellows yolk is coming out, we put flour and powdered sugar on the wound. They seem quite tired but can walk and chirp up a storm so that seems like a good sign, right? I've looked over many other threads but couldn't find a situation similar to how our chick looks. Kind of hard to take pictures of the squirmy little one. If anyone has any guidance on what to do to help out this chick I'd be very grateful.

Edit: I'm not sure if this is in the right subsection, or if it should be in Eggs and Hatching?

Hi, I don't have much experience with something that looks like that. But it has been some time since you made your post and I wanted to give some help if I could. I want to warn you now that I think this is bad and chick might not survive. I found a few comments via a search for unabsorbed yolk. My gut says do not let it move around and keep that yolk area moist. Some people suggested putting it in a bowl with a moist paper towel inside the bowl. I would keep it in the incubator where it is warm and humid. Maybe apply some antibiotic ointment to the area to keep it moist. Hopefully with time (12 to 24 hours) it will absorb on its own.

The little one is looking better it appears as her yolk sack looks to be shrinking, we are seeing if we can find some antibiotics to put on them. Does anyone know if you can use Neosporin? They have drank a little bit of honey water as a pick me up.

Yes, Neosporin will work. Just make sure there is not any benzocaine or any "caines" added to the ointment.

The chick is now a day old and her "yolk sack" looks to be hardening, though it is still fairly large the size of a peanut M&M. Instead of it keeping a yellow appearance, it looks like it is full of blood? I put some antibiotics on them and it has dried in some places, should I wipe it away and apply fresh antibiotics? They are very clumsy, they have trouble standing still for too long and constantly trips when walking, I believe one of their toes is broken also, is there any way to fix this. I apologize for all the questions, it seems our luck when it comes to chicks isn't very good.

Now that it's dried up it could just heal underneath and the hard lump fall off on its own. Chick looks to be doing well in the photos considering. Fingers crossed it thrives.
That's is nice news, I hope so. If they do they live they'll be a very spoiled baby.
