Hello- my 3 yo sex link started acting poorly yesterday. No other birds are having issues. Background: yesterday morning initially she hung back in the coop during morning feeding but came out when I opened the door, so I didn't think much of it. By yesterday afternoon she was lethargic - just standing with her eyes closed. Crop was mostly empty so not sure if she didn't eat that day or if it had emptied out. When I tossed food, she felt well enough to eat a few bits but then lost interest.

This morning she's acting no better or worse. Her head is hotter than others so I think she has a fever. I feel no liquid in her belly, I cannot find signs of being egg bound ( no penguin walk, tail up), no signs of an external infection. Her crop is not squishy.

Can people give me some thoughts on what I am dealing with? Is it most likely a virus or bacterial? Would she have a fever with an impacted crop?
Right now I am giving nutri-drench and offering skyr yogurt. If it is bacterial, what type of antibiotic should I be giving?
Thanks!

I don't know when she last laid for certain. She made a small poop in the last hour which looked fairly normal other than it being a small amount. She drank a little water and had a few bites of the skyr. Other than that she has been sleeping all morning ( inside in crate.)

Necropsy shows peritonitus to be likely cause of death. I assume that the cysts on the oviduct were a contributing factor. Can anyone comment re: the pneumoconiosis? We have never used diatomaceous earth so what would an alternate cause be?
