Goldiebird! That COMB is amazing!!!

By the way, hubby supports us splitting the flock into two parts...bigs and banties. We'll see who we keep for our roos. I have a feeling Breezy will be too big for my silkie mix girls...

Very true. But if the whole idea behind the development of the GMO seeds is to be able to use lots of poison, something is definitely wrong imho.

Ooh .. and Im sorry to barge in like this in Bob’s thread. Im usually not responding in this thread. But the use of GMO/poisons really worries me. Amongst other things like harvesting the rainforest, spreading PFAS etc.

People can make a personal choice to eat and use GMO/feed with poison residues themselves , but please do not ignore it and make your choice well informed.

Tax from my organic bantams for lecturing.

I appreciate the info, as always! You brought up a good point that I never would have even considered!

Reminder

This is a chicken thread, pictures, stories, etc. I do not want politics here, I don't want hot topics here, I don't want lifestyle debates, I don't want debates on what humans eat.

Let's stick to chickens.

As an example, we did not debate Covid, masking, lock downs, anything like that.

If you see something not chicken related to which you feel the need to respond, then start a different thread, post a link, and take your debate "outside".

There is so much going on here that I can't keep up now. I don't need debates elongating the thread and making people angry.

Thanks everyone.
I'm sorry, I didn't realize GMO was a political or hot topic  Off topic in this instance but I didn't know it would make anyone angry.

25 eggs will be going in tonight. I will double check the silkie pen at dark but I am sure they have finished laying for today. It is a good amount for this first hatch to really test their fertility. The oldest eggs are 8 days old. Of course when I am collecting for myself I get 2 bad days from them on the number of eggs. 1 day nothing and another day just 1.
