Here an update about my princess. She's doing exceptionally well and stands out beautifully

She adored Agatha and Tina and today she is surrounded with their lookalikes
I am so happy for her

Oh, how lovely the farm takes in rescue hybrid layers too Chicken paradise for Princess. She really does stand out like royalty in that sea of red hens

Your girls don't like the privacy nestbox curtains? I always wondered about having curtains. For the 1st 5 yrs we had round hole entrances to the old coop nestboxes so I never attempted curtains. Got too lazy to make curtains for the new barn coop's 4 blue open nestboxes ~ but there doesn't seem to be any problems once we made divider walls 'tween the nestboxes.

They do like the curtains. I haven't gotten curtains up on the lower bank, yet. Every time I moved a curtain so I could get the pic, they screamed at me. When I dropped the curtains back down, they screamed at me again. Basically, it was, "DON'T COME NEAR ME!!!! AAAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!"

They want the sticks kiddo is poking through. They grab them, run off, then realize it doesn't have any leaves to eat.

Hi Periwinkle All those blue's are pretty! Boy, that chicken wire is showing a lot of wear...did snow bend it? Our 1st year we got 2 rolls of chicken wire but after the 1st roll was worn out so fast made me mad so we gave away the 2nd roll it was so flimsy. Just unrolling it & it was already bent crooked!

We had chicken wire on our 1st little custom-built coop & it was sort of okay keeping shape but then it had a lot of frame support to get stapled to.

By process of elimination I found out Magrat was the one who laid the soft shelled egg, so I'll keep an eye on her. She's keeping up with everybody today just fine!
