Little Hattie at 14 weeks. Ignore that EE rooster.

To me Aster has a longer tail and holds it up high. Hattie has a stubby tail that is held pretty flat.

What does everyone else think?
Agreed. Aster, to my eye, has more of a Mediterranean build (like a leghorn). The white legs combined with the splash markings are VERY unusual, though.

That is so sweet ❤️. I've heard many a story of how intuitive pets can be w/each other. An executive secretary I worked w/ yrs ago had a blind dog & her 2 Siamese cats would guide him thru the house by walking each one on either side of him. I almost cried when she shared the story. Now that would be a video for posterity if cell cameras existed then!
We had an older dog who'd gone deaf. Then he went blind. We discovered he couldn't navigate through familiar surroundings so concluded he'd had a stroke. The young dog (3ish) would guide him around.

Animals are and always have been amazing to me.

Pusscat, slept with the dog at certain times but would chose other areas of the room too but these past couple of months he's there for him and gets up close.

Amori is still confused and doesn't understand what's happening, she sometimes growls when the dog is near her and the first few times pusscat was ready to pounce but now he just puts himself between them. Like he's on guard but not provoking.

I don't know why I am amazed by his intuitiveness because I know this lad is intelligent.

Yea she is very flashy, I cannot wait to see her eggs, and also next year when she moults. Spots will be popping I am sure!

Happy Friday Everyone!

Yesterday was a day let me tell you. My mom is livid about a dog and I will go into that in another post. I do not want to scare anyone though as he did not chase or harm any chickens or anything. This is a neglect and abuse case involving the neighbor at the end of the street's Great Pyrenees. You want to tick off my mom, starve a animal.

Anyway, I introduced you all to a few of the new kittens yesterday that another neighbors cat had. Last night my brother went out to his car to hear a kitten screaming. 1 of them had been separated from its mother and siblings. He looked around and could not find them and then noticed it's eye. It was completely covered over with puss and it could not open it. My brother deep down below the sarcastic side he has is a softie.

This is the current situation....

He and his girlfriend cleaned up the eye. He is picking up antibiotics after work for it. When he gets home he is also worming it and the rest of the litter if he can find them as this one is full of worms. We are not keeping it, we still have the 4 hooligans that are 5 months old now. It is a boy so he and his girlfriend are going to put the word out to find it a home.
