Here’s one
Oh goodness that chick is a cutie!
My husband got the promotion he was aiming for. He's now an Engineering Tech!
We will be celebrating
Congratulations 🎉 Now, immediately remind him that this means more $ does indeed equal more chickens!
I was just thinking it looked very Norman Rockwell-ish!

@rural mouse You should definitely submit this one for the calendar contest when it opens in the summer - bookmark it so you can find it then!!!
I couldn’t agree more. This is a special photograph, it really is calendar worthy.
With her floofy beard she surely must be related to Silkies ❣️
Oooo, you are brave!!! I am not at all sure how the Queen will react to this comparison. Duck now!

Well played. But if no one goes broody this year because she won't allow it, I will be back to remind you.
Well, unless you had plans on letting someone hatch I fail to see how that would be a problem. I doubt it will happen, but there is still time. The ultimate trick to play on our mighty queen would be if she were to go broody. We know she thinks of Polish as not real chickens as well hence my drawing attention away from you. If the queen herself hatched chicks, no matter the breed, silkies or polish they would be REAL chickens. Not just any real chickens mind you, they would be royalty as they would be hers.

All of my broodies have happened after June. I've never had a spring broody.
