Ha! They haven’t tries that quite yet. However, I expect utter chaos to ensue when the wild things get here Tuesday(ish)
Do not mention Beak Book!
I will not, chickens are to clever without outside influence, I will hold onto that until they figure it out for themselves.

I have thought on multiple occasions that it’s really quite fortunate that chickens are not bigger. If they were humans would probably be extinct or at least we would be back to hiding in caves.
A Breach and a Roosting

Nimue has very much enjoyed when the wire comes off the top of the brooder. First she made a fabric flight out and wound up completely outside the brooder.

Niamh has tried no such shenanigans.
I think perhaps I should offer a tiny little edit to correct a small error. This is only mentioned so as to decrease the wrath you could incur from the chicken gods by not including this qualifier.

Nimah has tried no such shenanigans - yet.

A Bath and a Drink

Nimue is dustbathing. Unfortunately I have been sick and missed the 2 day window without rain too get them some dirt. It has been raining all day and will all weekend. I may get some mud and try to dry it out.

Here she is dustbathing and drinking.

Hope you feel better soon, tis the season for all sorts of bugs and virus’

They are growing in ‘leaps and bounds’

My farrier always said ‘it’s a good thing chickens aren’t 6’ tall, they would be a serious danger to humans’ - I believe her!
