Our girls are so spoiled w/ everything organic ...sunflower seeds, millet seeds, pepper seeds, spinach, sweet potato, watermelon, cukes, blueberries, lamb, dry mealworm/shrimp/flies mix, cantaloupe, cabbage, corn, peas, zucchini, banana, cooked egg, Greek yogurt, jam, steamed veggie mix, etc, but pumpkin or bread is not a treat as far as they're concerned :idunno
Mine eat the paint off the barn door, insulation, styrofoam…. Eyeballs…. Each other’s pin feathers (ok ya mostly Mr P’s), and my lunch, snacks, snakes and frogs!

Ya they are opportunistic feeders my lot!

Could be a red sex link. Depending on hatchery, Cinnamon Queen, red star, golden Comet, ISA Brown, etc.

Seems to be too light - light ends to wings - to be a Buckeye, or a Rhode Island Red. Could possibly be a NH red.

I'm leaning towards a red sex link - but would need to know hatchery - and see final juvenile feathering to be sure. Clearly they will have a single comb - so very high probability the has a RIR as a parent (very common in Red Sex Links)

Can't wait to read RM's thoughts!
I would say if it’s TSC then they source their chicks from Hoovers don’t they?

I can’t wait to see what colour eggs they lay ♥️😊

Reminder

This is a chicken thread, pictures, stories, etc. I do not want politics here, I don't want hot topics here, I don't want lifestyle debates, I don't want debates on what humans eat.

Let's stick to chickens.

As an example, we did not debate Covid, masking, lock downs, anything like that.

If you see something not chicken related to which you feel the need to respond, then start a different thread, post a link, and take your debate "outside".

There is so much going on here that I can't keep up now. I don't need debates elongating the thread and making people angry.

Thanks everyone.
Sorry, @BY Bob I should know better! :(
A genetically modified organism (GMO) is a plant, animal, or microorganism whose DNA has been altered in a way that does not occur naturally, typically through genetic engineering techniques.

This does not involve selective breeding - of plants nor of animals.

That said - it is not to say that I don't beleive we have taken selective breeding too far in the case of many of our animals - especially chickens - the poor dears, so many health issues due to our overly selective breeding.:hit:hit:hit
Since I can't get my camera to speak to my computer...I'll post tax pics of
Could be a red sex link.

I spent all day yesterday praying for my uncle. 30 years in the coal mines left him with black lung. 3 weeks ago he was put on the transplant list and had to be hospitalized as home oxygen was no longer enough. His family got the call Tuesday evening that a donor had been found. He went it at noon yesterday for a double lung transplant. The surgery lasted 10 hours but the new lungs are working perfectly. I found out a few minutes ago that he is back in the operating room for the 2nd time overnight for bleeding. It is not the new lungs it is small vessels around the lungs that are causing problems. I'm praying hard that this surgery is successful and he can begin the journey of healing.

Your lunch is “snacks, snakes and frogs” ?
