I was able to wake up early, before the peeping starts.

Last night, after dark, the neighbor was outside in his yard flashing his light into my yard?
I noticed that the other mama hen and her two little ones were missing. I am not sure what goes through that neighbor’s mind (neither does he obviously) but there’s a boundary of which he has broken and I am watching him closely.

Well this isn’t exactly the flock photo yall asked for, but I’m a proud mama with my chooks roosting for the first time! All 13 lined up 😭 yes, I did have to block off the nesting boxes but it was totally worth it and only took 3 days for them to figure this out 😜

Flock update- 7/8 weeks old and they are *almost* on their “regular chicken schedule” - going in and out to their run with the auto-door, flocking to me for a treat once a day and to peck my boots, and really enjoying the spring air and plenty of space to flap their wings. Portrait of our gold laced polish who were still not sure the sex of!
That’s a lovely run you have.

It’s nice to see them all lined up sleeping 😊

Couple strands of electric fencing should fix him 🤭
