A lazy Pony Sunday

Although it is really sunny today, the wind is still high. Migraine weather for me, it’s been a real struggle to get anything done. So it’s a good excuse to sit on my lawnchair and do nothing.

Unfortunately the cold brisk north wind is not helping my migraine at all.

In other News, my Barnstormers (aka barn swallows) are back, now that caused my gang to freak out as the swallows blasted down the barn aisle way, hahahaha. Holly and Jolly were particularly anxious poor babies haven’t seen them before.

Also have the Turkey Vultures out and about, Alex they are amazing at navigating these high winds!

You: “Shirley, what are you doing over here?”
Shirley: “minding my own business, you?”

You can fix that :idunno just sayin'
Wish I could, but the only one I would give babies to is old Sophia the f she went broody. Next year I will see about getting a few more pullets to pick up the slack of the oldsters. But not this year.

If I could find some nice Polish next yr, I would get them, but anything from a local breeder will be straight run and I am so very tired of dealing with Roos.

As it is I am planning on putting up a second run for Sir Surely and a couple of my larger ladies to keep him company, if I can’t rehome him. At the moment he and the two wee boys are all getting along, but who knows for how long. Today Sir S and Mr LC we’re both facing off with poor Mr P, it was something out of Jurassic Park watching them, Surely and Mr LC - big and small - hackles up facing down Mr P, who was going to lose badly. I managed to grab Mr P and put him in The Rooster Run, he can stay there with his favourite ladies.

And peace reigns now, no drama once they are separated, now of only the darn wind would stop.

One of the legbars is very weak. I cleaned it's butt yesterday because it was pasty, and I've been periodically taking it from under the heater to get a drink and offer food. Might make it a little pouch and tuck it in my shirt so I can keep an eye on it.
First though, my outside birds need food and water refilled!

Edit: the chick passed away while I was outside. Poor baby
I'm so sorry Jenn. It's never easy for sure. :hugs :hugs :hugs
