Goose never laid?

We have 2 Embden/Toulouse geese, a gander and goose. The gander is 2 years and the goose just a year old.

I was expecting our goose to lay a few eggs this year, but she didn't really show any signs and we never found eggs. I did see them at least attempt to mate in the pond, so it seems like they were hormonally on the right track. Maybe I'm just too hopeful and it was too early for the goose and we should wait for next year?

Well there is a chance you may have two ganders, but embdens are large breed geese and many large breed geese aren’t full mature until the age of two so she may need some more time.
