This might be the wrong thread as its more about a general incubator than the birds itself.

Im using this exact model 56 eggs.

https://cnhoward.en.made-in-china.c...ggs-Chicken-Egg-Incubator-with-LED-Light.html

It specifies on it is 80w.

So is a correct way to calculate electric usage
80w x 24 hours day x 21 days on for incubation = 40,320 watts /1000 = 40.32 kw consumed during incubation then times it by what my electric company charges per month with taxes per kw?

Can an incubator exceed 80w an hour if thats its energy specification?

I have no idea, but my electricity did not go up much even running 2 in same room with my computer (making it hotter than usual in my home office) I keep my AC at 78. And my bill is always higher in summer, so annoying. I also try to avoid the times of day they tell people that it will cost more, I mean if you have a company like I do, they tell us during summer months the prime time is 4-7pm so I try to turn off lights and don’t use the washer and dryer during this time, dunno if it helps lol

ok where ru from and what size incubators?
I mean how many watts are ur models?

I think this is just the right forum for it, because you won't find a forum where people only discuss incubators, lol. However, I think it's hard to calculate the amount of energy your incubator uses. You could try using one of the online calculators for that. I think electricity is one of the most expensive bills and we should try to save as much as possible on it

The way I see it, it's important not only to save money, but to save our planet. The less electricity we use, the less electrical resources are wasted. That's why I'm thinking about changing my energy source to a solar battery. Do you have any experience in this field?

Solar battery is still electricity. You may want to see where your local utility company gets their electricity from. Solar, hydro, and wind are some of the most eco friendly. There are still environmental impacts to all of those, however. The production of solar panels and batteries isn't pretty either. Wind farms have some serious impact as well.
