Here are some updated pictures of my lavender orpington. I don't se and point in hoping this is a pullet, am I right? Or am I being too quick to judge?

Do you have an age estimate? If 10-12 weeks, I would guess male. If 20+ weeks old, she could be a female.

My roo didn't attempt to crow until 21+ weeks. By then he looked like this:

Unfortunately, the woman that gave it to me did not have a good age estimate.I think younger than 15 weeks. It was also infested with mites and lice. I was so angry! I knew it was probably a roo, but I also felt like I was rescuing it! I am allowed to have a rooster, but I don't know that I want to have one. This "breeder" takes back roosters, but I don't think I want this poor bird going back to her!

You can give it a bath. I bathe all my birds and sprinkle powder on them after. It is cold here to do that now.

My GUESS is female. I believe you'd see more pink in the comb by 14 weeks.
