Yea I think the black skin gene is dominant. It would be cool to have a white chicken with black skin

That's exactly what I want. I actually wanted to make the cross several years ago before anybody even called them zombie chickens.

I think black skin and dominant white are sexlinked when mixed. I will have to research more about it.

This dominant white hen, in an attempt to create a zombie

This mutt hen. She is some kind of silver.

And this Gold laced Wyandotte hen

I've hatched a lot of chicks. From five different species. I've never done a hatch-long before. This is probably my fourth year hatching chicks. I will probably start one after I have about 14 hatch in a week.
I would say I have hatched about 25 chicks this year. Probably 50 by the end of May.

That's basically all I hatch. I had a coop for bantam Cochins last year but they all got killed. This year I'm giving ameraucanas a go.

Same for me. I'm hatching 24 mixed breeds right now. They are due June 5th. Why did all your bantam cochins die?
