Plenty of proven safe stuff that they will like. No need to get all crazy with it. Eventually you'll find something they like that kills them.

My girl gets peas with the ducks. Every now and then (like maybe once a month) I'll pinch off a tiny piece of cheese (think crumb) and give her. That's her absolute favorite.
