Five days straight we've got a fox coming up the hill from the creek, walking past our breeding pens and garden, to cross the road to visit the farm there.
So I call the farm lady. She knows as she's got "her" on camera too. She's seen this fox killing a rat. She has a rat problem, and the fox is taking care of it. Well, that's all great, but ya'll know what I'm fearing!
We'd like to get the fox to not use our trail, but find another way to go from the creek to her place across the road.
When urinating outside doesn't immediately freeze, hubby's going to do that all over the trail. We're going to put a radio blasting over there and another solar motion light. We're trying to get the fox to find a different way over to her place instead of using our path past the chickens. The fox could not get at our chickens at night, but they could hers and don't, presumably because it's feasting on rats. She thinks it's killing pigeons in her barn, too, as she's caught her in there twice.
During the day, our dogs are out and about, and this wouldn't happen. I've had other video of during the day, and our dogs chased it off, so it must've learned that at night it can pass safely. This trail is about 2 acres away from the dog houses.
Anyone have ideas of other tricks to get her to not use our path?
