Penny for your thoughts- A day in the life of Penny Marshall ❤️

They are mostly Chinese medicine herbs- see below.

They treat encephalitis which is basically an inflammation of the brain.

If we go back to Penny's original symptoms- it is most likely she suffered some sort of neurological issue with her little brain.

So when she takes the herbs, it keeps the inflammation at bay and she is able to do things like a normal chicken. Like she always has an appetite, but she just forgets to eat. When I give her the herbs she makes the connection that she is hungry and must go over to the food bowl to eat. crazy huh?

My vet wanted to give her something safe that she could take every day- so this is what we arrived at. I just didn't realize if she went off of them it reversed so quickly.

Other than that all of her vitals, bloodwork and x-rays are that of a completely normal soon to be 3 year old hen.

So Penny can do whatever she wants in my company as long as she keeps up her end of the bargain by eating and drinking :)

I feel like I need to mention this is ground into a powder for her lol and she gets 1/8 tsp mixed into her morning food bombs. She isn't taking twelve pills a day with an organizer lolol

Penny must have a wonderful vet to have research these herbs, sourced all of this for her and grind it all up. What a blessing!
She really does- and she NEVER gives up on Penny either- we are both are in it together to make sure Penny enjoys the best life ever!

Her vet is located in the farmy section (the vets that take care of all the equine and exotics) of the Hamptons (which is where all the NYC celebrities have their bougie second homes on Long Island)

When friends ask if chickens see the vet I usually respond with yes- Penny sees a vet in the hamptons to which they gasp at...

yeah... Penny's fancy!
