I feel like I am going crazy. I think one of my chickens switched from laying brown eggs to laying white eggs... Is this even possible?!?! I have 3 hens and 1 rooster. I have been consistently been getting 1 brown egg and 2 white eggs per day. Then a few weeks ago my brown eggs started coming every other day and we're bigger and a little weird shaped but nothing crazy so I didn't think much of it. Now it has been about a week since I have gotten a brown egg. First I thought it was because of the heat maybe (I live in Southern AZ and we are hitting 100° already) but then 2 days ago I started getting 3 white eggs per day and now I'm confused :barniethe eggs on the left are the one of the last sets with a brown egg (middle egg is the brown one its kinda hard to tell from the picture) and the right are from a few minutes agoView attachment 1399230

How old are your hens? That brown egg looks more off-white to me. I have 3 brown egg laying breeds and none of them are that light. I'm wondering if they are still relatively new layers and their systems are just getting the hang of things.

Do you know what breeds they are?

1 leg horn and 2 black sex links they are almost a year and half old. The brown one seems to change some days it's darker than others it's never been a dark dark brown

This is the darkest they have been. This picture is from a while ago though

What breed(s) is/are the other two?
I'm curious as to whether or not you have a hen of a breed that is supposed to lay brown eggs.
Also, what are you feeding them?
