Sapphire Gem : Pullet or Roo

I am pretty sure that picture one is a Roo. 99%. What are your thoughts? Agree with me? The other is a Pullet. Pretty sure I am 100% on that one. They are approx 7wks.

1st one is a roo for sure and second one a pullet.

Yep I agree with you! 1st picture is a cockerel and 2nd picture is a pullet. Very pretty birds!

Yeah, not only does he have a bright red comb and wattles, you can clearly see the barring on his hackles.

Both are pullets.

Male Sapphire Gem chickens, as a sex-linked cross, are known for having barring (white horizontal stripes) on each feather, while females are plain blue.

Yes, first is a cockerel, not sure on the second one, I'm thinking pullet.

Yeah, they are sex links. Males are barred, pullets are not.

I'm a little puzzled though, bc the males should be barred all over, not just on the hackles.
